Jo is the proud owner of Elizabeth JJ’s on the Avenue and one of our experienced Art Directors. Jo established Elizabeth JJ’s Hair in 2011 from a boutique hair space in Paddington with a focus on sustainable, chemically benign and environmentally friendly hair products. Expanding to the current salon space in Ashgrove and developing our current team of expert stylists has been an exciting new chapter in her career. Jo views working with her clients as a partnership - identifying each client’s styling needs and goals, and formulating a plan to achieve the best possible outcomes. Personalised service, attention to detail and customer loyalty are the hallmarks of Jo’s success.
In her spare time, Jo enjoys card-making, scrap-booking, baking and spending time with her pooch and family. She is also a tragic fan of British soap-operas.

Jo has recently discovered another creative talent, in making bespoke, beautifully designed lampshades. She approaches lampshade making just like she does with hair. It's a process involving colour, shape, colour placement, angles and a vision for the end result. Just like hair!

Sharyn is extremely well-traveled with extensive experience as an international stylist and previous salon owner. A dynamic 8-years spent as a trainer and style -director with Paul Gerrard Salons in Hong Kong, has enabled Sharyn to master hair types from all over the world. Her forte is in specialist cutting and she is also a master ambassador for Davines colour and design techniques. Sharyn loves diversity in all places, people, food and thoughts. Her outgoing attitude and adventurous spirit have combined to form a creative and thoughtful stylist. The time and attention she gives to your hair allows for an experience that won't disappoint.

Charmaine is an extremely knowledgeable and talented senior stylist with 35+ years of hairdressing experience. She is also skilled with nail technology and beauty services, making Charmaine perfect for your every need! Whether you need a colour, a cut, or just a good head massage, Charmaine will make you feel brand new and is always up for a chat. She is adaptable to your hair needs, with confidence in all aspects of hairdressing. In her free time, Charmaine loves an adventure, especially fond of hiking and camping and enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories. She is very proud of her two daughters and loves all her fur-babies. We are all lucky to have Charmaine’s expertise and experience to learn from.

Michelle is an incredible beauty therapist, nail technician & an award-winning makeup artist, with extensive experience and knowledge in all thing’s beauty and makeup. She is a brow magician and can create beautiful nail art, you won’t ever be disappointed. Michelle moved to Brisbane 3 years ago to grow her family and is now a loving mother of 3 and is enjoying adventuring through life with them. Michelle is a warm person with a smile always on her face, so you are sure to have a great time with her while you get pampered. You can book all things beauty with Michelle on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturdays.

Chieno has been working as a hairdresser for over 15 years and is passionate about creating styles that suit each client’s personality and lifestyle. She especially loves doing balayage's, highlights and providing clients with big changes. Chieno enjoys helping people feel confident and refreshed through their hair. Outside of work she loves exploring cafes, bakeries, traveling, and spending time in nature. Creating beauty and connecting with people is what keeps her inspired every day.

Natalia is a bubbly, passionate second year apprentice who is always up for a chat. With a gift for big bouncy blowdries, Natalia is always ensuring you leave feeling as pampered as possible. She has an eye for fashion and is keen to experiment with the latest hair trends. True to her outgoing nature, in her free time Natalia loves an adventure, whether that’s a weekend at the beach or a night out with her friends. Having had a rough start in the industry, we are proud to welcome her to the team and excited to watch her flourish into a fully fledged stylist.

Ella is the newest addition to the team as a school-based 1st year apprentice. She works on Wednesdays and Saturdays alongside completing high school. Ella is excited to learn all things hair, especially interested in colouring and up-styling. You’ll find her buzzing around the salon, helping and ensuring everyone is happy. She loves spending her free time with her friends and family outdoors at the beach, exploring new places or curled up with a good book and a cuppa. We are all excited to watch Ella grow in her hairdressing career.
